Meetings

  • Avec les Affranchis pour parler de pub. Tjrs pas de solution pour la synchro
  • Revue de sprint
  • Meeting with Marc about his team

Significant Events

Decisions Made

People / Management

Feedback given, coaching moments, observations.

Projects

Important project changes only.

Leadership Reflection

What surprised me today?

  • Sprint Reviews
  • Sonia's request. What is she doing? Clearly she's living free on my mind and I'm wondering what she could be trying. I'm anticipating her blaming mainly my department for issues regarding the website with the report she's asking. At this stage, this is only a hypothesis. I don't have evidence yet.

What did I learn today?

  • Sprint Reviews are a valuable source of context.

  • They expose decisions, assumptions and blockers that don't always appear in tickets.

  • As a manager, my presence in key ceremonies creates context, not control.

  • I realized I'm no longer as aware of ongoing product evolutions as I used to be. I still have good visibility on maintenance work, but less on new initiatives.

This raises a question: - Is this a healthy delegation where Julie is naturally taking ownership? - Or have I stepped back too much and lost important visibility?

Need to observe this before drawing a conclusion.

What would I do differently next time?

  • Need to attend more of sprint reviews. Must find a way to get the evolutions.
  • Better understand how Product tracks evolution work in Jira.
  • Have a discussion with Julie about information flow. My expectation is to share her my vision but for her to keep it and not run with it or say it to everyone. This gives hope to people and sometimes my vision aren't always technically easy to do. So yes I'll share but it stays between us.

Follow-ups

Only actions that still belong to me. Everything else should already be in Twos, Jira, or Monday.
